Monte Carlo Simulations for a system of two and more MAGIC like Telescopes — •Emiliano Carmona and Pratik Majumdar for the MAGIC collaboration — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik, D-80805 Munich, Germany
MAGIC II, the second of the two telescope system of MAGIC, will start operating at La Palma in the fall of 2007. Its main goal is to lower the energy threshold of the currently running single MAGIC telescope and at the same time improve the sensitivity in the stereoscopic/coincident operational mode. Results from the Monte Carlo simulations of this system will be discussed. A comparison of the two telescope system with the performances of one single telescope will be shown in terms of sensitivity, angular resolution and energy resolution. The implications of these results will be extended to a larger system of MAGIC like telescopes.
