Internal Alignment of the Straw-Tube Tracker in the ZEUS Detector — •Ramoona Shehzadi — Physikalisches Institut, University of Bonn

The Straw-Tube Tracker (STT) is part of the global tracking system of the ZEUS detector. It was installed after the HERA shutdown in 2000. It improves the track finding efficiency and reliability in the forward region of the detector. It consists of 2 modules, where each module contains 24 sectors. The sectors are mounted individually on each side of a circular central plate. The sectors can have radial shifts perpendicular to the beam-pipe, and they can rotate about their mounting point. The internal alignment of the STT has been determined using a linear least squares method for 2004 and 2006 data. In the alignment procedure all parameters (track and alignment) are determined in one step without iteration by performing simultaneous least squares fit with the help of program package Millepede.
