Δ G/G determination from high pT hadron pairs — •Roman Hermann for the COMPASS collaboration — Institut für Kernphysik, Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg 45, 55099 Mainz
COMPASS is the fixed target experiment at CERN SPS muon beam, where polarized 160 GeV muons are scattered off a polarized LiD target. The collected data provide the access to the polarized quark and gluon distributions.
Events with hadrons pairs, where both hadrons require a high transverse momentum pT are probing the polarized gluon distribution via the photon-gluon-fusion process. In this contribution the actual status of Δ G/G analysis of the events in deep inelastic scattering region (Q2>1GeV2/c2) data will be presented. Special emphasis will be put on the MC simulations using the LEPTO generator and the estimate of false asymmetries.
