High Q2 Neutral Current ep scattering with longitudinally polarized leptons at Hera — •Michal Wlasenko — Physikalisches Institut, Universität Bonn, Deutschland

Since 2003 HERA collides longitudinally polarized lepton beam with proton beam, extending our understanding of ep scattering to so far unmeasured helicity-dependent terms of the cross sections and structure functions, given high luminosity (L > 400 pb−1) and longitudinal polarization up to ± 40%. Exploiting the kinematical region of x∈(10−6,0.75), Q2 ∈ (0.11,5·104 GeV2) both ZEUS and H1 experiments measure CC and NC cross sections and unfold F2 and xF3 structure functions. Results are then combined into a NLO-QCD fit giving xS, xdv, xuv (sea and valence quark density functions) and xg (gluon density function).

In my talk, I will present the current status of NC measurement at high Q2 with ZEUS. I will also discuss the possibility of measuring the full form of NC structure functions.
