High Q² Neutral Current ep scattering with longitudinally polarized leptons at Hera — •Michal Wlasenko — Physikalisches Institut, Universität Bonn, Deutschland

Since 2003 HERA collides longitudinally polarized lepton beam with proton beam, extending our understanding of ep scattering to so far unmeasured helicity-dependent terms of the cross sections and structure functions, given high luminosity (L > 400 pb⁻¹) and longitudinal polarization up to ± 40%. Exploiting the kinematical region of x∈(10⁻⁶,0.75), Q² ∈ (0.11,5·10⁴ GeV²) both ZEUS and H1 experiments measure CC and NC cross sections and unfold F₂ and xF₃ structure functions. Results are then combined into a NLO-QCD fit giving xS, xd_v, xu_v (sea and valence quark density functions) and xg (gluon density function).

In my talk, I will present the current status of NC measurement at high Q² with ZEUS. I will also discuss the possibility of measuring the full form of NC structure functions.
