In coherent neutrino nucleus scattering (CNNS) the neutrino interacts with the whole nucleus and so that the wavefunctions of the nucleons add up coherently. Due to that, the cross section of CNNS is much larger than the cross section for neutrino electron scattering. However, the momentum transfer to the nucleus is still tiny (about 100eV), which makes CNNS hard to detect. Our aim is to develop a cryogenic detector exhibiting a very low energy threshold, good energy resolution and a massive target (few hundred grams). If successful, such a detector - set up in the vicinity of a nuclear power plant - could allow the investigation of new physics like non-standard neutral-current interactions or a neutrino magnetic moment.
