Transport Measurements through Graphene — •P. Barthold, T. Lüdtke, and R.J. Haug — Institut für Festkörperphysik, Abteilung Nanostrukturen, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, D-30167 Hannover
We present transport measurements through graphene in dependence of magnetic field and temperature.
We obtained graphene by micromechanical cleavage of natural graphite similar to the technique described in Ref.[1]. An optical microscope and a SEM were used to localize the graphene layers that are deposited on top of SiO2. These flakes were further investigated with an AFM to select suitable samples and determine their height. By using electron beam lithography we are able to contact the samples. During the measurements the device is situated in a He4 bath cryostat allowing measurements at temperatures between 1.4 K and 300 K. By varying the magnetic field we characterize the sample. As we apply a backgate voltage we see a peak in the resistivity that we contribute to a field effect.
