Design of short coherent control pulses for quantum information processing — •Stefano Pasini, Tim Fischer, Peter Karbach, and Götz S. Uhrig — Technische Universität Dortmund
A systematic technique is presented to design short pulses for the coherent control of a two-level system coupled to a bath. The problem can be solved as the one for an ideal pulse, instantaneous pulse up to some order of approximation, which our π and π/2 optimized pulses make vanish. Their effectiveness is tested numerically on a specific spin model.
