Langmuir probe measurements in dusty plasmas — •Antonina Ivanova and Andre Melzer — Institut für Physik, Universität Greifswald

Since the 1990s, the physics of dusty plasmas has attracted the attention of investigators due to its various interesting phenomena. However, the direct measurement of the fundamental parameters of dust particles, like the charge are difficult. Under these circumstances, indirect methods allowing to retrieve the physical parameters of the plasma environment are of special importance. Here, we present the results of Langmuir probe measurements in a dust crystal formation region of an rf-discharge. The dust influence on an rf-plasma is assessed by repeating of the measurements with and without dust. The obtained quantities are compared to other investigations.
