Venus surface data extraction from VIRTIS measurements — •Gabriele Dr. Arnold1, Rainer Dr. Haus2, David Kappel2, and Wolfgang Döhler2 — 1Institut für Planetologie, Universität Münster, Wilhelm-Klemm-Str.10, 48129 Münster — 2DLR, Rutherfordstr. 2, 12489 Berlin
The Venus Express night side emission measurements of VIRTIS have been used to estimate the extraction of surface data of Venus. The surface windows, the close surface windows and the deep atmosphere windows in the near infrared provide information about surface and the lower far wing absorbtions of the deep atmosphere. Based on a scattering light correction of VIRTIS data, surface data are extracted. The possibilities of a quantitative approach of surface analysis are discussed.
