Gross-Pitaevskii-Equation for the Dynamics of Bose-Einstein Condensates — •Benjamin Schlein — Mathematisches Institut, LMU München

In this talk I am going to discuss recent results concerning the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates. In particular, I am going to present a mathematically rigorous derivation, starting from many body quantum dynamics, of the Gross-Piteavskii equation for the time evolution of the condensate wave function.
