Higgs plus two jets via gluon fusion in the large top mass approximation — •Jan Germer and Dieter Zeppenfeld — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Karlsruhe, D-76128 Karlsruhe
One of the most promising channels for the discovery of the Higgs Boson and the meassurement of its couplings at the LHC is Higgs production via weak boson fusion. While this process is actually known at NLO accuracy in αQCD, the associated process pp → Hjj via gluon fusion which appears as a background, is fully known at LO only. The NLO cross section is only available in the so called large top mass approximation, where the Higgs-gluon couplings are given by point interactions described by an effective Lagrangian of dimension 5. We investigate the uncertainties that arise by making use of the effective theory and examine whether these can be reduced by considering the 1/mtop2 suppressed parts of the amplitude which can be described by an effective Lagrangian of dimension 7.
