Double Differential Top Quark Pair Production Cross Section Measurement with the ATLAS Experiment — Claus Gößling, Reiner Klingenberg, and •Moritz Bunse — TU Dortmund, Experimentelle Physik IV, Deutschland

Due to the high luminosity and energy at the LHC a large amount of t t pairs are produced in the first months of its operation. This allows the study of the double differential cross section in y and p_T and the comparison with theoretical predictions for the first time.

This talk will present Monte Carlo studies to evaluate a possible event selection and expected uncertainties to be obtained with the ATLAS experiment.
