Inclusive SUSY search with leptons — •Stephan Horner, Riccardo-Maria Bianchi, Sascha Caron, and Gregor Herten — Physikalisches Institut, Universitaet Freiburg
If supersymmetry exists at the weak scale squarks and gluons will be generated in pairs (assuming R-Parity conservation) at the LHC next year. Due to their high mass these particles trigger a cascade decay ending in two only weakly interacting stable susy particles. In many susy models not only several hard jets are produced in the course of this cascade, but also high energetic leptons through weak decays. Thus, our investigation concentrates on events with high energetic jets, missing energy and 1 lepton being either an electron or muon. In the context of this analysis, knowledge about the lepton performance is essential and obtained through eg. reconstruction efficiencies, purities and (jet/tau) fake rates.
