Constraint Skyrme-Hartree-Fock calculations in 3D — •Nikolaus Löbl1, Joachim Maruhn1, and Paul-Gerhard Reinhard2 — 1Goethe Universität, Frankfurt — 2Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Erlangen-Nürnberg
We implemented several multipole constraints into a full 3D Skyrme-Hartree-Fock (SHF) code. The used algorithm was already successfully tested in axial SHF and relativistic mean-field(RMF)approaches. In a first step we added the constraints linearly to the energy functional, i.e. λ<Q>. The second step was to connect the added quantity to meaningful physical observables. Of course the <Q> should be the expectation value of a multipole operator, therefore the Lagrange-multiplier λ had to be adapted by iteration. It was a challenging task to reach suitable convergence in 3D. After a period of parameter optimization we were able to obtain deformation energy curves with a constraint on the Q20 mass quadrupole moment. With an additional Q22 constraint it was also possible to prepare triaxial states. Applications to be presented: cluster configurations in 16C and fission barriers in the actinide region.
