Electronic Transport Properties of Magnetic Tunnel Junctions at High Temperatures — •Markus Meinert, Jan Schmalhorst, Daniel Ebke, Andy Thomas, and Günter Reiss — Department of Physics, Bielefeld University, Germany
In this contribution the results of electronic transport measurements on magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) at high temperatures will be presented. Two types of magnetic tunnel junctions were invesigated. First, junctions based on the half-Heusler alloy CoMnSb with a Curie-temperature of about 500K. And second, CoFeB/MgO/CoFeB junctions, which were characterized in-situ during an annealing process and after a conventional annealing.
The evolution of the TMR effect with temperature and bias voltage of the CoMnSb based junctions will be discussed as well as the temperature dependence of the TMR effect and the resistance of CoFeB/MgO/CoFeB-junctions.
