The two-dimensional periodic Anderson model with an additional local Coulomb repulsion Ufc between localized f and conduction electrons is investigated by the use of the projector-based renormalization method. When the f-level energy єf is close to the Fermi level, the valence transition becomes sharper by increasing Ufc. We start from an Hamiltonian which includes small gauge symmetry breaking fields and derive self-consistent equations for the order parameters. Our numerical results show that the d-wave superconducting order is dominant close to the sharp valence transition regime. This affirms that the valence fluctuations might lead to superconductivity in the Ce based heavy-fermion systems under high pressure.
