The β-ν correlations in β-decay allows searching for contributions that go beyond the V-A description of the Standard Model for the electroweak interaction. We are developing an experimental setup to measure correlations in the β-decay of ²¹Na. By trapping the radioactive atoms, the recoiling nucleus (kinetic energy <230 eV) can be measured in a reaction microscope in coincidence with the emitted β particle. The first step is to study β-ν correlations that allows to set limits on scalar and tensor contributions. By polarizing the parent nucleus it becomes possible to search for time reversal violation. The production and trapping of ²¹Na has been accomplished. Details of the setup with a two laser system and the status of this phase of the program will be described.
