Engineered CVD diamond for spintronic applications — •Daniel Twitchen and Matthew Markham — Element Six Ltd, King’s Ride Park, Ascot, Berkshire SL5 8BP, UK
There has been rapid progress in understanding of the NV centre in diamond in the last few years. This defect centre has many desirable properties as a solid state qubit. This paper will focus on the progress made in growing synthetic diamond using chemical vapour deposition (CVD) with a specific emphasis ono point defect and isotropic control.
