Hierarchy of jets in tt events in the ATLAS detector — •Peter Kovesarki — Physikalisches Institut Universitaet Bonn, Germany
Using jet algorithms to reconstruct the kinematics of partons is a common method in high energy physics. All of these algorithms have a real number as a free parameter, which usually corresponds to a partonic splitting level. As the top quark has the largest mass and complicated decay chain, its decay introduces several levels of splitting. In order to reconstruct as many levels as possible, we investigated using jet algorithms with multiple values for their free parameter at the same time. In this talk we will summarize the results of this study.
