The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will provide a huge amount of top-antitop events, making the LHC a top quark factory. Precision measurements in the top quark sector will allow to search for new physics. Various models beyond the Standard Model predict the existence of heavy resonances decaying into tt-pairs. Here we present the search for ttbar resonances at CMS. The analysis considers ttbar candidate events in the lepton+jets channel, in which the final state is: one lepton (e, μ), one neutrino and four quarks.
