Study of the q2 spectra for the inclusive B→ Xulν decays and determination of the CKM matrix element |Vub| using q2−El technique. — •Alexei Volk1, Michael Kobel1, Heiko Lacker2, and Florian Bernlochner2 — 1TU Dresden, Institut für Kern- und Teilchenphysik — 2Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
We present an analysis of inclusive semileptonic B→ Xulν decays, based on 450 fb−1 of data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e−-storage rings at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
In our analysis we reconstruct the lepton energy and the invariant mass squared of the electron-neutrino pair where
the neutrino kinematic is deduced from the decay products
of both B-mesons. Using these kinematic quantities we measure the partial branching fraction Δ BF(B→ Xulν) from which the CKM matrix element |Vub| is extracted.
In addition we study the q2 spectrum which is sensitive to weak annihilation effects in the high q2 region for charged B-meson decays.
