Systematical Uncertainties for SUSY search — •Altan CAKIR, Wim de BOER, Martin Niegel, Fedor Ratnikov, Daniel Troendle, Valery Zhukov, and Eva Ziebarth — Institut fuer Experimentelle Kernphsyik, Universitaet Karlsruhe (TH)
With the start of LHC data taking, the detector performance and the realistic estimation of Standard Model (SM) background are important to search for Supersymmetry (SUSY). We demonstrate how various SUSY signatures might eventually be selected above SM backgrounds and indicate the possible systematical and statistical significance of such a measurement. Our interest is focused on the scenario suggested by the interpretation of the EGRET excess of diffuse Galactic gamma rays as signal of dark matter anhilation. The prime signatures distinguish gluino productions from the SM background are jet multiplicity and missing transverse energy. In this talk systematical uncertainties from a data-driven estimation of the the irreducible background and the various Monte-Carlo generators (Alpgen(Pythia) , Sherpa , Pythia and MCatNLO(Herwig)) are discussed.
