The reconstruction of the electromagnetic (EM) objects is one of the main keys of the LHC physics analysis. The ATLAS calorimeter has to provide an accurate measurement of the energy and position of electrons and photons. In this contribution, the reconstruction chain of the EM objects will be described along with identification and calibration techniques. The calorimeter performance will also be presented.
