dCache Administration at the German WLCG Tier-1 — Silke Halstenberg, •Christopher Jung, Xavier Mol, Doris Ressmann, and Artem Trunov — Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH

The GridKa computing center at Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe is the German WLCG Tier-1 center for all four LHC experiments. In addition, the center supports several D-Grid VOs.

The storage system is managed by dCache, which has been jointly developed by DESY and FNAL. At GridKa, the dCache tape connection is managed by IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). The dCache storage system allows fast and reliable storage and retrieval of data; it supports several protocols, e.g. the SRM interface.

The presentation focuses on experiences during last year and preparations for the processing of proton-proton events from the LHC.
