Ultra-cold neutrons (UCN) provide an excellent tool for exploring physics beyond the standard model. Currently, at the Technische Universität München a new source for ultra-cold neutrons is planned, which will be installed at the Maier-Leibnitz Forschungsneutronenquelle in Garching, Germany. From the conversion cell in the reactor core, the neutrons have to be guided up to 40 m to the experiments. Therefore, the quality of the neutron guides is a crucial factor to guarantee a high UCN density for the experiments. The transmission properties of UCN guides coated with various surfaces in the replica technique have been tested at ILL, Grenoble, France. The experimental procedure and results will be presented.
