ATLASWatchMan, a tool for automatized data analysis — •Riccardo-Maria BIANCHI, Renaud BRUNELIERE, Sascha CARON, and Gregor HERTEN — Physik.Inst., Albert-Ludwigs-Universitaet Freiburg, Germany
The ATLAS detector will start soon to take data and many New Physics phenomena are expected.
The ATLASWatchMan package has been developed with the principles of CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) and it helps the user setting up any analysis by automatically generating the actual analysis code and data files from user settings. ATLASWatchMan provides a light and transparent framework to plug in user-defined cuts and algorithms to look at as many channels the user wants, running the analysis both locally and on the Grid.
Examples of analyses run with the package using the latest release of the ATLAS software will be shown.
