Search for high energetic neutrinos from Supernova explosions with AMANDA-II — •Dirk Lennarz, Jan-Patrick Hülß, and Christopher Wiebusch — RWTH Aachen
Supernova (SN) explosions are among the most energetic phenomena in the known universe. It was suggested by some authors that TeV neutrinos are produced in the young SN shell for time scales of a few weeks to years. We have produced a catalogue of known SN explosions which are relevant for the data taking period of AMANDA-II in the years 2000 to 2006. The data is analysed with a likelihood approach in order to search for directional and temporal coincidences between neutrino events and known nearby SN explosions. The SNe were stacked in order to enhance sensitivity. In this talk the results from the analysis are presented.
