Proton-lambda correlations at small momentum differences resulting from final-state strong interactions allow to extract source sizes in nuclear collisions [1]. This contribution presents an analysis of pΛ correlations using 2.8 · 106 central (23,5%) Pb+Pb collisions at 158A GeV registered by NA49 at the CERN SPS [2]. The effect of background in the particle identification, particle decays, finite two track and momentum resolution will be discussed; fully corrected correlation functions will be shown and a source size will be extracted and be put in the context of other measurements [3,4]. Hydrodynamics-motivated models (e.g. [5]) expect a <mt>−1/2 decrease of the source size. We will compare our result to the correlations of charged kaons and pions measured by NA49, thus checking consistency over a wide range in <mt>.
