Charge-exchange reactions induced by relativistic 11C and 12C — •Matthias Holl — Institut fur Kernphysik, Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany
Relativistic heavy ion charge-exchange has been identified as a direct reaction process [1,2] and Δ-excitation has been observed in such reactions [1,2,3]. We report on preliminary results obtained at GSI’s fragment separator FRS for charge-exchange reactions induced by relativistic 11C and 12C beams on a beryllium target. The FRS was operated in a high-acceptance mode with the reaction residues being detected at the third focus (S3) of the FRS.
