Measurement of polarization observables in the reaction γ→p→ p π0 π0 with the CBELSA/TAPS experiment — •Vahe Sokhoyan — Helmholtz-Institut für Strahlen und Kernphysik, Nussallee 14-16, 53115 Bonn
Meson photoproduction off the nucleon is an important tool to understand the spectrum
and the properties of baryon resonances. To unambiguously identify baryon resonances in photoproduction experiments not only the
measurement of differential cross sections but also of polarization observables is of
large importance.
With the CBELSA/TAPS experiment, located at the electron accelerator
ELSA in Bonn, such polarization observables have been measured using linearly polarized photons
impinging on a liquid hydrogen target. New results obtained on the polarization observables
Is and Ic will be presented in a photon energy
range from 970 to 1650 MeV.
