Monte Carlo studies for the KM3NeT neutrino telescope — •Rezo Shanidze — ECAP, Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg
KM3NeT is a future European deep-sea research infrastructure in the Mediterranean Sea, which will host a high energy neutrino telescope with a multi-km3 instrumented volume. Recently, the KM3NeT consortium, which is formed by the ANTARES, NEMO and NESTOR collaborations as well as marine science and technology institutes, released the KM3NeT technical design report (TDR) document. The KM3NeT design options presented in the KM3NeT TDR and the results of corresponding Monte Carlo studies will be discussed in the talk.
Supported by EU, FP6 contract no. 011937 and FP7 Contract no.212525.
