NUHM with sneutrino NLSP model detection in ATLAS — •Judita Mamuzic — DESY, Germany
SUSY models with conserved R-parity, masses in the GeV range and G dark matter candidate, have χ10 and charged l as NLSP. However, they can be excluded due to the very strong constrains from Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. In the SUSY breaking with gaugino mediation the NLSP is a ν, which has viable regions where the primordial ν abundance satisfies the BBN constrains. In typical models of SUSY breaking with universal scalar and gaugino masses the lR are lighter than the lL and ν. For non-universal SUSY breaking parameters at the high scale, especially where mH12 − mH22 > 0, one can observe different mass order, and the NLSP is ντ. This results in having cascade decays with slightly different topology. NUHM model signatures are characterized by large missing transverse energy and lots of soft leptons and jets, due to the small mass differences. This analysis tests the standard ATLAS SUSY detection approach on this model, and makes further cut optimization. An important aspect is the distinction of NUHM from the mSugra model.
