Luminosity-related Background in the Belle-II Experiment — •Elena Nedelkovska — Max-Planck Institut für Physik, Föhringer Ring 6, 80805, München, Germany
The presently running KEKB collider will be upgraded to SuperKEKB, providing a design luminosity of 0.8 × 1036/cm2s. Accordingly, the Belle detector will be upgraded to Belle-II, with a new pixel vertex detector (PXD) close to the beampipe. The PXD is based on the DEPFET technology and has to stand a high background at full luminosity. The physics sources of the dominating luminosity- related backgrounds will be discussed as well as their relevancce for the PXD operation.
