Is it possible to access the strongly interacting regime with a 6Li40K Fermi-Fermi mixture? — •Andreas Trenkwalder1, Christoph Kohstall1,2, Frederik Spiegelhalder1, Devang Naik1, Gerhard Hendl1, Florian Schreck1, and Rudolf Grimm1,2 — 1Institut für Quantenoptik und Quanteninformation, Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Innsbruck, Austria — 2Institut für Experimentalphysik und Zentrum für Quantenphysik, Universität Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria
Interspecies Feshbach resonances in the 6Li40K Fermi-Fermi mixture are closed-channel dominated and quite narrow. In order to determine if it is experimentally feasible to realize the strongly interacting regime, we measure the elastic and inelastic scattering properties across one of the widest interspecies resonances. Preliminary results are promising and indicate that the strongly interacting regime can indeed be reached.
