Low temperature magnetoresistance of different strongly correlated metals close to a quantum phase transition — •M. Schubert, K. Winzer, M. Schneider, H.S. Jeevan, and P. Gegenwart — I. Physikalisches Institut, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Friedrich-Hund Platz 1, 37077 Göttingen

We report measurements of the electrical resistance at temperatures down to 15 mK in magnetic fields up to 7 Tesla on different intermetallic systems, which are located close to a quantum phase transition. Both heavy-fermion systems like YbRh2(Si1−xGex)2 and CeAu2In4 as well as transition metal oxides (Sr1−xCaxRuO3 thin films) are investigated. The results are compared with different theoretical scenarios.
Our work is supported by the DFG through SFB 602 and research unit “Quantum phase transitions”.
