We investigate the possibility to produce and characterize Josephson junctions, based on new ironarsenide superconductors. Starting with LaO1−xFxFeAs thin films, which were produced by pulsed laser deposition (PLD), we present structures, in which Josephson effects can be studied. Because of the technological requirements, tunnel-like structures with natural or artificial barriers seems to be best suited for such investigations. Therefore the ironarsenide base electrode and subsequently the tunnel area were structured by ion beam etching. Sputtered SiO2 thin films were used as insulating materials. For the counter electrode, conventional superconductors (e.g. Pb, Nb) can be used. We present the first measurement on such systems.
