Absolute frequency measurement of Rubidium Rydberg transitions — •Markus Mack, Florian Karlewski, Helge Hattermann, Florian Jessen, Simone Höckh, Daniel Cano, and József Fortágh — Physikalisches Institut der Universität Tübingen, Center for Collective Quantum Phenomena and their Applications

We present absolute frequency measurements of ⁸⁷Rb 5 S_1/2F=2 → 5 P_3/2 F=3 → nS and nD Rydberg transitions. These measurements were taken by observing electromagnetically induced transparency in a vapor cell as well as in a MOT. We report on our experimental setup, the results, and possible applications.
