Colloidal suspensions of triglyceride nanocrystals are considered as potential drug delivery carriers in modern pharmaceutical technology. The main focus of our group lies on tripalmitin nanocrystals stabilized with phospholipids in an aqueous dispersion medium. While the mesoscopic structure of such dispersions is well studied [1] the structure of the stabilizer layer in the interface between the particles and the dispersion medium is not. It will be demonstrated that it is possible to gain detailed information about the structure of the stabilizer layer by simultaneous analysis of SAXS and SANS data. For this purpose the X-ray powder pattern simulation analysis [2] was extended to be used for neutron data as well. In the talk the simulation method will be introduced and a comparison of recent experimental and simulation results will be presented. [1] T. Unruh, H. Bunjes, K. Westesen, M.H.J. Koch.
