Since few years the determination of the electron neutrino mass by the analysis of the calorimetric spectrum following the electron capture decay of 163-Ho has been revisited due to the excellent performance obtained by low temperature micro-calorimeters. We present the first high resolution calorimetric spectrum of 163-Ho obtained with low temperature Metallic Magnetic Calorimeters (MMC).MMCs work in a wide temperature range below 100 mK. They are based on a paramagnetic temperature sensor tightly connected to a particle absorber. In order to measure the calorimetric spectrum of 163-Ho, the radioactive isotopes were embedded in the absorber in a three step process including ion implantation at ISOLDE. With this technique a quantum efficiency larger than 99% is obtained. We discuss our results and show the implications on the planning of a future large scale experiment to measure the electron neutrino mass based on the calorimetric measurement of the 163-Ho electron capture spectrum.
