The U238 antineutrino spectrum in the DoubleChooz experiment — •Nils Haag1, Tobias Lachenmaier2, Lothar Oberauer1, Walter Potzel1, and Klaus Schreckenbach1 — 1Technische Universität München — 2Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen
The DoubleChooz experiment aims at the determination of the unknown neutrino mixing parameter Theta13. Two liquid scintillator detectors will measure an electron antineutrino disappearance at the Chooz site in the French ardennes. In order to improve the sensitivity, the antineutrino spectrum emitted by the Chooz reactor cores has to be determined with high accuracy. This talk focusses on the U238 spectrum, which is the only contributing spectrum, that was not measured until now. The final U238 betaspectrum will be presented and its implementation into the analysis framework will be shown.
