One of the main targets at the LHC is the problem of particle masses. The Standard Model (SM) offers as solution the Higgs mechanism with at least one scalar particle that will be accessible to LHC. Experimental results from LEP and Tevatron collaborations favor a light SM Higgs boson. The dominant decay could then be H → b b. For the associated Higgs production with a Z boson where H → b b, Zbb is not only the dominant but also an irreducible background. In the gg→ H → 4ℓ channel, Zb b constitutes the largest reducible background. Thus understanding and measuring the Zb b background is a first important step in Higgs searches in those particular channels. In this talk we present a study for measuring the inclusive Zb b production cross section with the ATLAS detector assuming an integrated luminosity of 200 pb−1 at √s=7 TeV.
