Single-top t-channel analysis with the 2010 data collected at ATLAS — Markus Cristinziani, Sara Ghasemi, •Gia Khoriauli, Agnieszka Leyko, Tatevik Poghosyan, Ralph Schäfer, Kirika Uchida, and Kaven Yau — Physikalisches Institut, Universität Bonn
Successful operation of LHC machine in the 2010 allowed the ATLAS detector to collect a significant amount of data at √s = 7 TeV. This makes a first measurement of the limits on the single-top production cross-section possible. The t-channel has the highest cross section among the single-top production channels and is about 79 pb (NLO) at √s = 7 TeV in pp - collisions. We will present results for the t-channel background estimation and systematic uncertainties in the cross-section measurement using the ATLAS data with about 40 pb−1 of integrated luminosity.
