SUSY Searches with b-Jets in the Final State with no Leptons at ATLAS — •Mirjam Fehling-Kaschek1, Stefan Winkelmann1, Xavier Portell1,2, Iacopo Vivarelli1, and Karl Jakobs1 — 1Physikalisches Institut, Universität Freiburg — 2CERN
Supersymmetry (SUSY) is one of the most theoretically promising candidates to solve some of the open questions within the Standard Model (SM). This analysis focuses on processes with large missing transverse energy and multiple jets in the final state. Furthermore, events containing b-quark jets are selected, since their production is enhanced in certain regions of the SUSY parameter space.
This contribution will discuss results for a final state containing no lepton, missing transverse energy and b-jets using the ATLAS data taken in 2010 with a center of mass energy of √s=7 TeV. One of the key aspects is the understanding of the SM background. Therefore, dedicated methods, both data and MC based, have been applied to estimate their contribution.
