Operational experience with the ATLAS Pixel Detector* — •Iskander Ibragimov — Universität Siegen

The ATLAS Pixel Detector as the innermost part of the ATLAS experiment at the LHC at CERN has been measuring particle tracks and decay vertices from proton-proton and heavy ion collisions in 2010. In total an integrated luminosity of 45 pb−1 has been recorded with a data taking efficiency of 99 %. Following the LHC progress towards an increase of the instantaneous luminosity the Pixel Detector has been tuned to operate at its nominal readout speed and readout window size.

The talk will cover all aspects of the detector operation such as calibration, optimization of the operational parameters and monitoring of the data quality. An outlook for the 2011 operation and beyond will be presented.
