In 2010 a new beam port, dedicated to streak camera measurements using visible light, was put in operation at the ANKA storage ring in Karlsruhe. This talk will give an overview over the design considerations and present simulations of the optical components of the port. In addition, results of beam studies based on this system will be shown.
