Laser-Plasma Simulation including QED processes — •Constantin Klier — LMU Munich
Powerful new lasers being planned at the moment (ELI) will bring laser intensities of up to 1025 W/cm2. At these intensities QED processes in strong external background fields will become essential to understand laser propagation and laser plasma interaction. Such processes are multi-photon Breit-Wheeler pair creation and multi-photon Compton scattering. For planning future experiments PIC simulations should include these processes. We report on result of such simulations.
