Analysis of tracking data from a Si-strip telescope — •Simone Bianco, Max Becker, Kai-Thomas Brinkmann, Ralf Kliemt, Karsten Koop, Robert Schnell, Thomas Würschig, and Hans Georg Zaunick — Helmoltz-Institut für Strahlen- und Kernphysik, Universität Bonn
Test measurements with a tracking station consisting of four position-sensitive Si-detector layers have been performed and analyzed. Beams of protons (COSY, Jülich), electrons (DESY, Hamburg) and photons (ELSA, Bonn) have been used to study the track resolution and measure scattering in different absorbers and sensors, which can be placed on a rotary table in the particle trajectory. Data analysis was focused on scattering angle distributions from carbon volumes of different thicknesses. The effect of rotation of one sensor on cluster size, resolution and energy loss was precisely scanned. Different positions of the sensor layers along the beam direction have been compared in order to optimize the setup. Detailed analysis of measured data will be shown during the presentation comparing the obtained results with Monte Carlo simulations. Supported by BMBF and BCGS
