Raman- and photoluminescence-spectroscopy studies of CdSexS1−x under hydrostatic pressure — •Markus S. Rinn, Thomas Sander, and Peter J. Klar — I. Physikalisches Institut, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen, Heinrich-Buff-Ring 16, 35392 Gießen
CdSexS1−x samples (x: 0.0 to 0.6) were studied by Raman spectroscopy at room temperature under the application of hydrostatic pressure. The spectra were recorded in backscattering geometry using a 633 nm excitation laser. The hydrostatic pressure was applied by a diamond anvil cell using the pressure induced shift of the ruby fluorescence as a pressure gauge. Furthermore, photoluminescence (PL) measurements were performed in the temperature range between 80 and 300 K. The influence of pressure and Se concentration on the Raman and PL spectra will be discussed.
