Gravitational waves in multmetric gravity — •Manuel Hohmann — II. Institut für theoretische Physik, Universität Hamburg

We discuss the propagation of gravitational waves in a class of multimetric gravity theories containing N ≥ 2 copies of standard model matter and a corresponding number of metrics. We show that within these theories the propagation velocity of gravitational waves equals the speed of light, and that two to six polarizations of gravitational waves may exist. Finally, we discuss the emission of gravitational waves by binary systems and relate our results to the upcoming gravitational wave experiments.
